UDHAMPUR, June 4: In separate incidents, two youth attempted suicide by consuming poison under mysterious circumstances at their respective residence at village Sudhmhadev and Karlha in Udhampur district.
According to the police reports, Sonu Lal (25), son of Raju of Sudhmhadev, consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances in his home late last night. The family members noticed him in serious condition and rushed him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors repeatedly washed his stomach. His condition was now reported to be stable.
Cause behind the provocation could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
Meanwhile, in other similar case, Vijay Kumar (19), son of Chatru Ram of village Karlha (Patnitop), consumed some poisonous substance. The family members shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur, where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his serious condition.
