BSF recruitment racket busted

UDHAMPUR, June 2: A fake recruitment racket in Border Security Force has surfaced following detection of bogus appointment letters from three candidates at STC BSF, Roun Domail, Udhampur.
The matter came to light when three candidates from Assam, reported at STC BSF, Udhampur and produced their appointment letters, appeared to be issued by the BSF Headquarters, Delhi. However, when the BSF authorities at STC established contact with the Headquarters in Delhi for the confirmation, all the appointment letters turned out to be fake.
Following this, BSF authorities immediately brought the matter into the notice of Police Post Domail and all three candidates were arrested. The trio was identified as Mohibul, son of Rahman, Abdul Jahangir Bepari, son of Abdul Malek Bepari and Azizur Rahman, son of Safur Ali, all residents of Assam.
A case FIR number 241/2017 has been registered in this connection at Police Station Udhampur for further investigation. A Police team is likely to visit Assam and other areas for arrest of the gang members, who seemed to be operating from different parts of the country.
According to Police spokesman, a written complaint was received at PP Roun Domail from SP Anand, 2I/C STC BSF Udhampur, that three candidates from Assam reported at STC BSF with appointment letters, which turned out to be fake.
