SRINAGAR, Mar 15: National Conference today appointed party leader and prominent businessman GS Oberoi (Shammi Oberoi) as the new treasurer of the party.
In an order issued by National Conference general secretary, Ali Mohammad Sagar on the instructions of the Party president, Oberoi was nominated as the treasurer of the party with immediate effect.
GS Oberoi is the son of late party leader and MLC, Dharamveer Singh Oberoi and has been associated with the party at various levels since the last more than two decades.
National Conference working president Omar Abdullah, Provincial president Kashmir Nasir Aslam Wani, Provincial president Jammu, Devender Singh Rana, Party spokesperson Junaid Mattu and Provincial Youth president Salman Ali Sagar felicitated Mr Oberoi on his appointment as the Party treasurer and wishes him luck in performing the duties that come with the new responsibility in the party.
