JAMMU, Dec 30: A Lok Adalat-cum-Legal Awareness Camp was organized at TLSC Headquarter Court Complex Doda for the cases pertaining to the all matters under the chairmanship of OP Thakur, Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee (CJM Doda).
He was assisted by Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Doda Arun Kumar Kotwal, District Judicial Mobile Magistrate Javed Rana.
In the Lok Adalat, a total of 24 cases pertaining to bank suits, electricity cases and PHE, domestic cases were amicably compromised.
At the same time, the people were made aware about the rights and duties. People informed that in case they are interested in settlement of their cases, they can approach the court at District Headquarter Doda for listing their cases in the next Lok Adalat.
Meanwhile, a Lok Adalat was held in the Court Complex of Sub-Judge Nowshera under the chairmanship of Sandeep Kour, Chairman, Tehsil Legal Services Committee Nowshera. She was assisted by Advocate Rattan Singh.
A total of 20 cases were taken up, out of which 13 cases were settled.
A Lok Adalat was held under the chairmanship of Sumati Sharma in Munsiff Court Complex Chenani in District Udhampur.
In the Lok Adalat, 14 criminal matters, one matrimonial matter and one civil case were taken up and decided amicably. 18 electricity matters were also taken up and disposed off. An amount of Rs 2,61,500, was collected. Besides this, 71 traffic challans were also disposed off and a total fine of Rs 32,200 was realized on the spot.
