JAMMU, Dec 29: Following an agreement with the Jammu University authorities, the JU non teaching employees today suspended their 17-day long daily token strike.
As per the non-teaching Employees Union, the university has agreed for adoption of
Rs 7450-225-11500 Pay Scale, SAT removed in case of 12 JA’s, training programme of the staff and issuance of tentative seniority lists of various cadres/categories within one month’s time.
Further, re-designation of employees’ item will be placed in Joint Committee alongwith the cases of Technical/isolated, Transfer policy will be considered for effecting the transfers and implemented in such a way so that no hardship is caused to the employees, University shall expeditiously follow up the cases pending with the Financial Advisor (Universities) vis-a vis demands of JUNTEU, arrangement of Conductor/Helper for University bus by tomorrow and their main demand i.e. implementation of pending demand(s) particularly w.r.t pay scale of Rs 640-2900/2000-3500 revised to Rs5500-9000/6500-10500 further revised to PG-II with GP of 4200/4600 in reference to the High Court Judgement regarding SKAUST-K with the relevant quarters for their early redressal within 15 working days, says an official handout by the Union.
The executive body of Non Teaching Employees Union apprised the non teaching fraternity about the meeting held with the authorities and thereafter the agreement signed.
