JAMMU, Dec 2: Director General of Police (DGP) today handed over investigations of Tuesday’s twin terror attacks of Nagrota and Samba to CID (Counter Intelligence).
SSP CID (CI) Jammu Tejinder Singh will take over investigations of both the cases from concerned police stations of Nagrota and Ramgarh tomorrow, official sources said.
The CID (CI) will investigate all aspects of the terror attacks, they said, adding the First Information Reports (FIRs) registered by Nagrota and Ramgarh in connection with the terror attacks will be transferred to the CID.
Three terrorists each were killed by BSF and Army at Ramgarh and Nagrota respectively while seven Army soldiers including two Majors were martyred at Nagrota in two attacks by the militants.
The BSF had detected a tunnel used by the militants for infiltration into Chamliyal in Ramgarh sector of Samba district.
