JAMMU, Nov 29: BJP J&K Kashmir displaced district took out a procession here today and held a demonstration against the recent statement of former Chief Minister of the State and patriarch National Conference (NC) Dr Farooq Abdullah on PoK.
The procession started from Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan Kachi Chawni and it was led by president of the displaced district Chand Ji Bhat.
Addressing protestors Chand Jee Bhat expressed surprise over the immature statement made by Dr Abdullah that PoK is not ancestral property of India so leaders in New Delhi should leave claim on it. Bhat said that before giving such irrelevant statement Dr Abdullah must have gone through the topography of Jammu and Kashmir prior to its accession with India.
Everybody knows during the regime of Maharaja Hari Singh PoK was integral part of Jammu and Kashmir. So statement made by Dr Abdullah is surprising as it was from the mouth of a person who has remained Chief Minister of the State and served at Centre as Minister. Better he knows power of India and how Bangladesh came into existence. It seems his statement must have been for pleasing separatists in Kashmir valley and searching out lost foothold. But he should understand these statements have no value. Dr Abdullah must keep in mind that Centre is in right and strong hands now so such speeches will no yield any thing for him.
