JAMMU, Nov 23: In the much publicized Public Interest Litigation (PIL) highlighting alleged hushing up of Rajouri Development Authority scam, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan today directed the respondents to file fresh status report.
In the PIL, it has been submitted that instead of registering an FIR in the scam despite the approval of the Director Vigilance, J&K Vigilance Organization, the same was converted by SVO into Regular Departmental Action (RDA) against the delinquent officers/ officials namely Mohammad Javed Khan, the then Chief Executive Officer, Rajouri Development Authority (presently Custodian General), Khushal Chand, the then Executive Engineer, Devi Dass Heer, Executive Engineer and Gurcharan Singh Junior Engineer, Rajouri Development Authority.
After hearing Advocate Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed with Advocate Rahul Raina appearing for the PIL whereas Senior AAG Seema Shekhar appearing for the State, DB observed, “it is seen from the status report filed today that Mohd Javed Khan, the then CEO, Rajouri Development Authority has been issued a show cause notice on 03.10.2016 calling upon him to explain his position regarding poor adjudication”.
“Since 15 days’ time is over, Senior AAG appearing for respondents is directed to file a fresh status report explaining the present position”, the DB directed.
