KATHUA, Nov 22: A youth died after consuming some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances at his residence in village Lardhi in Billawar tehsil of Kathua district today.
He was identified as Rajinder Kumar, 23, a student of BA Part IIIrd. His father works as a labourer in Mumbai and this morning Rajinder took some poisonous substance and consumed it resulting into his instant death, police said.
The Billawar Police has registered a case in this regard under Section 174 and started investigation.
The dead body has been handed over to family by police after postmortem at DH Billawar.
