KATHUA, Nov 22: An Ambassador car was set ablaze by some people who were chasing it at Khanpur road falling under the jurisdiction of Rajbagh Police Station today.
According to police the car bearing Registration Number JK08 D 1843 belongs to Surinder Kumar S/o Sohan Lal of Garnadhi. He had given it to his friend namely Avinash of Khanpur who requested him to provide the car to him for the day as he was going for outing.
As Surinder took car some people of the area chased him and signaling trouble he abandoned the car on Khanpur road and fled. The people chasing him however set the car ablaze and it was totally damaged in fire.
The Rajbagh Police has registered a case under Section 363 against Avinash and started investigation in the matter. However no arrest ahs been made so far.
