BHOPAL, Nov 21: ‘Celebrating Diversity’- the unique programme which brought J&K into world spotlight recently in London, today mesmerised the audience at the Bharat Bhawan, Bhopal, with the sheer magic of its unparallel performance quality and was received with standing ovation and repeated applauds.
This mesmerising creation based on the dance diversity of J&K, outshined here this evening in Jammu Kashmir Mahotsav organised by Bharat Bhawan, Department of Culture, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Prem Shankar Shukla, the CAO of Bharat Bhawan, Bhopal while speaking to the audience said that efforts will be made to take this scintillating programme full of cultural vibrancy, the true essence of the beautiful State of J&K to other parts of Madhya Pradesh.
The programme ‘Celebrating Diversity’ was a unique cultural album of Jammu and Kashmir showcasing the variegated variety of different colors, rhythms, costumes, design patterns and artistic expressions through the dances of J&K.
The programme culminated through the presentation of a mega performance ‘Unity in diversity of J&K’, exclusively designed and composed to portray the harmony and the cultural co-existence of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
This presentation also represented the vision of the new generation of the artists of Jammu & Kashmir who are not only reviving the wonderful dying artistic expressions in their own way but also believe in integration of the State through cultural and artistic initiatives.
The artists who brought pride for the state by giving ultimate professional performance included Rakesh Kumar, Sunny Mujoo, Nikhil Manhas, Saloni Verma, Shivali Sharma, Vinay Sultan, Deepak Kumar, Ankush Bhasin, Aarti Slathia, Naina Sharma, Saroj Manhas, Geetanjali Khajuria, Bindia and Jyoti Kumari.
