AMEAK stages massive protest demonstration

JAMMU, Nov 8: The members of All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) today organized a massive protests demonstration near Press Club of Jammu on their 118th day of protest and later called on ministers, legislators and Relief Commissioner seeking their intervention for resolution of their grievances.
The employees also expressed grave concern over the fact that their peaceful dharna was disrupted by the government by removing the tent from Relief Commissioner’s office without any valid reasons.
The agitating employees led by Vinod Pandit Chairman APMCC, National Spokesperson King C Bharati, Rubin Ji Saproo, President AMEAK, advocate Ravinder Raina president ASKPC, Dr TK Dhar general secretary, ASKPC and Kuldeep Raina senior BJP leader castigated the government for adopting different yardsticks for peaceful people and antinational elements by rewarding the vandals and punishing the nationalist forces.
The employees led by KP leadership met Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner and expressed dismay over removal of tents of the protesting employees and demanded that they be allowed to continue their peaceful dharna.
A delegation of employees led by King C Barati also called on Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Basharat Bhukhari and apprised him of the concerns of the employees.
The minister gave a patient hearing and admitted that situation was not conducive as yet assuring that they won’t be forced to resume their duties unless situation is back to normal. The Minister also issued on spot directions for the immediate release of salaries in favour of all migrant employees without any delay adding that the government was seized of their concerns which were being looked into seriously.
Another delegation led by Vinod Pandit also met R&B Minister, AR Veeri and other legislators to apprise them about the concerns of the employees besides expressing concern over not allowing the employees to sit on peaceful dharna.
They cautioned the government that the peaceful agitation may turn into an aggressive one due to dictatorial attitude of the government and administrators for denying them space for a peaceful protest.
They said that if the government can reach out to agitating Valley youth with packages and goodies why it was punishing peaceful and nationalist Kashmiri Pandit employees who have faced the brunt of the current unrest in Valley.
Meanwhile another delegation led by Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) president Kundan Kashmiri and Tej Pandita today called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Y P Suman and expressed concern over lifting of the PM package employees dharna forcefully from his office. They demanded that these employees be given justice and their genuine demand be conceded.
They also demanded that migrants other problems be settled and they may not be subjected to unnecessary harassment.
