Sham reviews developmental scenario in Poonch

POONCH, Nov 3: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control  Sham Lal Choudhary reviewed the pace of ongoing developmental  works under various sectors in a  meeting convened here today.
MLA Haveli Shah Mohd. Tantray, MLA  Surankote Ch. Mohd Akram, MLA Mendhar Javid  Ahmed Rana, MLC  Yash Pal Sharma , DDC Mohmmad Harun Malik, SSP J.S Johar, Superintendent Engineers, Executive  Engineers of  PHE, PDD and R&B besides all other district officers were present in the meeting.
The DDC gave an overview of physical and financial achievements of various departments including that of PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control.
Minister took a detailed review of the developmental projects taken up  in the district and also the bottlenecks faced by the departments for achieving desirable result.
The concerned legislators also apprised the Minister of various developmental needs in their areas and laid  special focus on the funds for damaged projects during floods.
Choudhary  directed the concerned departments to work in tandem to provide better amenities to the people and asked them to ensure time bound completion of the ongoing projects. He also asked the   PHE Department to provide  people with  adequate supply of clean drinking water and  press water tankers  in the areas facing  water crisis.
The Minister stressed  upon the  field functionaries to perform their duties  with dedication  to ensure proper services to the people.
Minister also took the stock  of arrangements made by the district administration for the  safety of the people living on LoC. The Minister directed the administration  to depute special teams of health  and veterinary  departments to provide immediate  relief to the  injured.
Various deputations  of  daily wage workers, need based workers, ITI diploma holders, CP workers of  department  also called on the Minister  who gave them a   patient hearing and  said that  Government  is aware of   their  problems and  is working on  a  policy  to address their genuine issues sympathetically.
