SRINAGAR, Sept 28: State Government has extended the date of filing VAT returns to October 31, 2016.
A notification issued by the Finance Department today said that in exercise of power conferred by proviso to sun rule (2) of Rule 28 of the Jammu and Kashmir Value Added tax Rukles, 2005, the Government hereby directs that the last date for filing of returns for the first quarter of 2016-17 shall now be October 31, 2016.
“It is also clarified that the deadline for filing of returns for the periods of first and second quarter 2016-17 shall now be October 31,” the notification said.
