Kashmiris can never be leaders of Ladakh people: ARJAC Leh

JAMMU, Aug 13:  All Religious Joint Action Committee (ARJAC) Leh Ladakh has said that Kashmiris can never be the leaders of the people from Ladakh region and the people from Ladakh can not be ignored in any talks over Jammu and Kashmir.
The members of ARJAC,  comprising of representatives from Ladhakh Buddhists Association, Anjuman Imamia and Anjuman Moin-ul-Islam today flashed a memorandum to the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi demanding Union Territory Status for Ladhakh region. They also expressed serious concern over the prevailing situation and Kashmir valley and said that Kashmiris can never be the leaders of people from Ladakh region.
Later, talking to media persons, Tsewang Thinles, president LBA, Ashraf Ali Barcha president Anjuman Imamia  and Sheikh Saif-ud-Din president Anjuman Moin-ul-Islam, all senior members of  ARJAC Ladakh, said that Ladakh has also been badly hit by the  situation existing in Kashmir valley. The supplies have been affected  and due to continued bandhs and curfews for the last more than one month, the normal life   in Ladakh region has also been badly affected. They said the topography, language and  culture of  Lad-akh   region in totally different than Kashmir.  There is no match at all with them. The Ladakh is always with India  and no exploitation by Kashmiri leaders can have any impact on the people of Ladakh.
The reiterated their demand to prove Union Territory status to Ladakh region and maintained that Kashmiris can never be the leaders of  Ladakh. They said for any decision on J&K Ladakhis are the stake holders  and  any will of the Kashmiri leaders can not be imposed on them. They demanded that Union Territory status be provided to Ladakh to have strong relationsd with the Union of India, which is the  Life Line of people from Ladakh. They also demanded that peace and normalcy e restored in Kashmir.
