BHADERWAH, July 18: Annual Trishul Bhaint Yatra of Mata Chandi, which started from Doda city in the morning here today, reached the temple of Goddess Chandi at village Chinote Bhaderwah.
The yatra was accorded a rousing reception at various places enroute Bhaderwah. The Chari (Trishul) which started from Doda town this morning was taken by Sthapak Vimal Kumar Jain.
Amidst chanting of slogans of Mata Chandi, thousands of pilgrims from Erstwhile Doda District and Jammu had darshan of deity at village Chinote temple.
On the occasion, elaborated security arrangements were made by local administration.
A community fest was also organized by the Yatra Committee in Chandi Mata temple Chinote, Bhaderwah. After performing the traditional rituals and Yagya, Yatra returned to Doda.
It is notable that the Chari (Trishul) will be taken from Chandi Mata Temple Chinote to Machhail Padder in the midst of the month of August.
The Machhail Yatra that is gaining fame for the last more than two decades has been attracting tourists and pilgrims in thousands not only from the J&K, but also from other parts of India.
