Srinagar, June 15: Government today said there is no proposal for creating separate development authority for Anchar and Khushalsar but is keen to conserve it.
In a written reply to a question of Abid Hussain Ansari in Lower House, Minister incharge Housing and Urban Development Department stated that the pre-feasibility report for management and restoration of lakes like Khushalsar, Gilsar and Anchar has been submitted to Union Ministry of Environment and Forest for consideration and approval.
The Minister further stated that the J&K Lakes and Waterways Development Authority has the mandate for conservation and management of Dal and Nigeen lakes only.
