JAMMU, May 27: Aarakshan Virodhi Party (AVP) today announced full support to the proposed rally on May 29, against move for restoring reservation in promotions.
Talking to media persons, here today, AVP president, Ram Pal Seth drew attention towards social and political ills because of reservation and more particularly reservation in promotion, which has been nullified by the High Court of J&K. “The demand raised by some MLAs of J&K and a few individuals to undo the verdict of High Court is very serious matter and growing tendency of politicking on caste, religion , sex and region and the demand negates the fundamental principles of liberty and justice,” he added.
Mr Seth extended full support of AVP and AVMJ to the rally being organized by the Joint Action Committee (General Category) on May 29, 2016 Sunday at Maharaja Hari Singh Park near Fortune Hotel at 9:00 AM. He also appealed the people to participate in the said really to express their anger and anguish over the move for restoring reservation in promotion.
