JAMMU, May 12: National State Government Employees Federation held one day State level conference in which a large number of delegates representing different departments participated.
National general secretary of Rashtriya Rajya Karamchari Mahasangh, Vipan Dogra was the chief guest while the function was presided over by K K Langer, Federation president. K K Langer, spoke about the achievements of the Federation as also working conditions of the employees in Jammu and Kashmir.
While addressing the participants Vipan Dogra expressed that the activities of Rashtriya Rajya Karamchari Mahasangh have been expanded to 20 States of the country. He added that the Federation has demanded some amendments in 7th Pay Commission. He urged upon the Central Government to implement the report of 7th Pay Commission at one time in all the States. He also demanded restoration of old pension scheme, abolition of contract system and compassionate appointments in Government departments.
Besides highlighting their other demands the existing body of the Federation was dissolved and new office bearers were nominated for next three years.
Those elected on the occasion were Maheshwaar Parshad Sharma as president, Chuni Lal, Dev Raj Thakur and Mohd Farooq as vice president, Subash Verma as general secretary, Bhushan Sharma, Dev Parkash and Ravinder Choudhary as secretary, Himat Kumar Bashist as finance secretary while Rattan Chand and Girdhari Lal as organizing secretary. The members nominated were Chain Kumar, Irshad Hussain Beg, Joginder Raj, Kuldip Raj, Shiv Dev Singh and Mohd Iqbal.
