Upgraded CFC inaugurated by IGP IR Zone

JAMMU, Sept 17: Upgraded Common Facility Centre (CFC) of IR 10th Battalion was inaugurated by the chief guest, Inspector General of Police, Armed/IR Zone, Jammu, Gulzar Singh Slathia, in the Headquarters of the Battalion, here today.
Earlier, Slathia was received by the Commandant of the Battalion, Vijay Singh Sambyal. A ‘guard of honour’ was also presented to the chief guest at the Battalion headquarters before the inauguration of the ‘Common Facility Centre’.
The Centre provides the facilities of wet canteen, tailor shop, barber shop, indoor games and recreation hall.
The upgraded Common Facility Centre, which was originally constructed in 1984 by JKAP 4th Battalion and Pioneer Platoon has been renovated by the officers and jawans of IR 10th battalion on self help basis.
The chief guest also inaugurated a newly constructed dining shed, along with Deputy Inspector General of Police IR Range, Jammu, T Punchok and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Armed Range, Jammu, Jhony William.
A darbar was also held, presided over by the chief guest, wherein Commendation certificates with suitable cash rewards were distributed among officers and jawans for their good work in renovating Common Facility Centre and excellent performance while performing various duties.
Addressing the jawans, the chief guest appreciated the overall performance of officers and jawans of the battalion during the last six months with special emphasis on renovation of the battalion headquarters and maintenance of the cleanliness of the whole area. He also appreciated the efforts of Commandant of the battalion, Vijay Singh Sambyal in providing healthy atmosphere to the officers and jawans of the battalion.
Later, ‘Bada Khana’ was also organised, which was attended by Commandants of all Jammu based battalions and jawans of IR 10th Battalion.
