JAMMU, Sept 17: A “shav yatra” of UPA Government in the shape of protest rally was taken out against the raising prices of diesel and LPG here today.
While addressing the protesters, Sunil Dimple, president, Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) called for Jammu bandh on September 20 and appealed political, non-political parties as well as the people of the State to get united to turn the tables on UPA Government and make the bandh a grand success.
Dimple also appealed the alliance partners of UPA Government to withdraw the support from Congress party. The prominent among those present on the occasion included Dr Sham Saroop Gupta, Dr Om Parkash, Ramesh Chander Kohli, B L Sahni, Kulwant Sharma, Thoru Ram Mehra, Kasturi Lal and Bansi Lal.
