JAMMU, Apr 23: Managing Director of SIDCO, J&K, Amit Sharma, delivered a highly informative career talk to the students of classes XI and XII this morning in the multipurpose hall of KC Sports Club under the aegis of the ‘Career Connect’ Forum.
‘Career Connect’ Forum of KC Public School is a frequently used platform for inviting experts and specialists from various fields for a face-to-face interaction with senior students of the school especially for career counseling and guidance.
Amit Sharma kept the young students riveted for more than an hour by touching upon a wide range of exciting and meaningful career options. Raju Chowdhary, Chairman of KC Public School, was also present on the occasion.
A brilliant public speaker, Sharma began by underscoring the imperative need for e- Governance not only at the Governmental level but also in the management of various human endeavours including education. He apprised the students of his own specialization in information technology and his contribution to the effective implementation of e-Governance in almost all the areas of governance in the State.
He advised the students to use information technology in a positive and constructive way and seek careers in that field that would help them in making significant contribution for the betterment of humanity at large. Referring to the issue of brain-drain not only at the international level but also at the level of smaller human communities within the country, he exhorted the young students to devote themselves to the welfare of their own people and State instead of seeking lucrative careers elsewhere.
In the concluding question-answer session, he replied to the queries raised by some students. Amarendra Mishra, Principal of KCPS, presented vote of thanks.
