JAMMU, Apr 17: Dharmik Yuvak Mandal (DYM) organized prize distribution ceremony for the organizations, which took part in the Shree Ramnavmi Shobha Yatra.
On the occasion, Shree Ranbireshwar Mandir Welfare Committee, Jammu, bagged the first prize in tableau’s preparation completion and participation in Jhankies on the sacred occasion of Shree Ramnavmi on April 15.
As many as 15 dramatic clubs, individuals, social and religious organizations had participated in the competition with their best prepared tableaux for the occasion. All competitors exhibited overwhelming enthusiasm and attempted to excel each other.
The jury of Judges was at wonder struck to give their judgements as no tableau was less than the other. Concepts, dresses, makeup designs, art and the style of delivering dialogues were praiseworthy.
However, facing tough, jury candidly decided to award first prize to Shree Ranbireshwer Mandir Welfare Committee, Jammu, second prize to Shree Sanatan Dharam Natak Samaj, Dewana Mandir, Jammu and third prize for Shree Ram Shakti Mandli, Peermitha, Jammu. Consolation prizes were also given to all the participants.
Chairman, Shree Sanatan Dharam Natak Samaj, Dewana Mandir, Jammu, Yudhvir Sethi gave away the winning trophy to first prize winner. President J&K Dharmarth Trust, Major General RS Jamwal (Retd) gave cash prize in a special container prepared for the purpose.
Pavinder Gupta leading industrialist and Bishan Dass Gupta prominent social worker gave second and third prizes respectively. All cash prizes were arranged by the Dharmarth Trust in specially designed and prepared containers.
Four individuals were also honored for their distinguished services in the field by the DYM, Jammu. The recipients of the honor are Maj Gen RS Jamwal (Retd), President, J&K Dharmarth Trust, Harbans Singh, Social Worker, Baldev Khullar, President Raghunath Bazaar Association, Jammu and Jagdish Dogra, President Shree Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Jammu.
A team of young energetic and dedicated workers comprising Kuldeep Anand, Gurdeep Singh, Nathu Ram, Dharni Dhar Sharma, Patron, Sanjay Anand, President and Yashpaul Gupta convener worked day and night and arranged the jhankies.
