JAMMU, Apr 7: A man was killed while his accomplice got injured after the two-wheeler on which they were travelling was hit by a rashly driven car near Tanda in Akhnoor.
According to a police spokesman, today at about 4 pm one Alto 800 car without any registration number (on way from Jammu to Rajouri) hit a motorcycle bearing registration number UP13AA-5460 near Tanda.
The motorcyclist namely Lance Naik Somnath Bandopadhya and Joginder Singh son of Jagbir of 10 Artillery Brigade Akhnoor got injured in the mishap and hospitalized at SDH Akhnoor. Somnath was later shifted to MH Akhnoor, where he died while undergoing treatment.
The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
