RAMBAN, Apr 4: District Police organised anti-drug rally at Batote Town today.
Hundreds of people including prominent citizens, Naib Tehsildar and students from various schools participated in the rally.
The rally started from Bhaderwah Morh and culminated at same place after passing through various areas.
At police station Batote, students were made aware about the working of police.
SHO police station Batote, Inspector Sameer Jeelani, while speaking on the occasion exhorted upon the students to act as torch bearers against social evils of consumption of narcotic drugs, liquor, cigarette smoking and psychotropic substances in the society.
He also dwelt in detail regarding ill effects of consumption of these drugs on the health and well being of individuals in the society.
The rally was organized under the directions of SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar and supervision of Additional SP Ramban Mushtaq Ahmed and DySP Headquarters Mohammad Rafiq Choudhary.
