JAMMU, Sept 13: The security cover Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) paralyzed, after the SPOs struck work in protest against non-payment of wages.
The SPOs deputed at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), today sat on dharna against the hospital administration, for not releasing their pending salaries, putting the entire hospital to security risk.
The SPOs assembled in the premises of the GMC Hospital, raised slogans and were demanding release of their pending salaries.
They said that, their salaries are not released by the hospital administration, creating manifold problems for their families.
“We are being a paltry amount of Rs 3,000 per month and if that will be delayed for months together, how can we feed our families”, they added.
The Police Department released their salaries in time, but the hospital administration are not issuing the same in their favour, by which they and their families are on the stage of starvation, they added.
“It is September 13 today and till date we have not received salaries for the last two month, which has added to our woes”, they alleged.
We will continue dharna till hospital administration will release our pending salaries, they added.
