RAJOURI, Feb 7: With the aim of improving road safety, a seminar was organized here today by the Ace of Spades Division.
The seminar was designed to improve road safety by increasing awareness of all agencies involved in the causes and consequences of road accidents.
All stakeholders ranging from drivers and owners of taxis, mini buses, private vehicles, police, Border Roads Organization and medical representatives participated in the event.
The seminar provided a unique opportunity to all the stakeholders to come together under one roof and collectively resolve the issues involved. The event generated a healthy debate with the participants providing valuable inputs, based on their own experience on how to improve road safety.
Victims of road accidents also came forward and explained the medical and economic consequences of road accidents as experienced by them. The medical staff provided valuable inputs on the first aid needed to save lives.
