JAMMU, Feb 7: DCM Public School celebrates its 6th Annual Day today with lots of fanfare and fervour, here.
The event was an absolute display of shimmering colours by the students from Class Nursery to Xth.
The programme titled “UTSAV-2016” was a grand celebration full of scintillating performances of the students which left the audiences enthralled and spell bound.
The programme started with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, Sham Lal Sharma, Sr. Vice President, JKPCC, J&K.
Present on the occasion were the guests of honour, ID Soni, State Commissioner, Bharat Scouts and Guides and Kuldip Singh Jamwal from SIDCO Samba.
Earlier, welcome speech was presented by the Director of the School, Dheeraj Jamwal Sharma followed by vibrant and spectacular performances of the students.
Chairman of the School, Sat Paul Sharma was present on the occasion, while Principal Rama Jamwal read out the Annual report highlighting the prominent achievements of the school during the academic year.
The Classical Dance, the Mask Dance and Cultural Items from various States of India were a delight to watch.
The chief guest distributed trophies and certificates among the prize winners for the Session 2015-16. The show ended with a grand finale the “Indian Fusion”.
Speaking on the occasion, Sham Lal said that value based education imparts social, moral character, besides integrity and spirituality among the students. It builds the qualities of humility, strength and honesty in a person. They become better citizens of a country.
