JAMMU, Jan 25: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Sanjay Gupta today rejected the bail application of Rayaz Ahmed, Showkat Ahmed and Rasikh Khursheed, all residents of Anantnag, who were arrested under NDPS Act.
After hearing both the sides, the court observed, “as per prosecution case each bottle is containing 100 ml of syrup. In this way 834 bottles contain 83400 milliliters and it is approximately 83 KG whereas as per NDPS Act, commercial quantity is 1 KG and it is bar as per 37 NDPS Act to grant bail in commercial quantity”.
With these observations, court rejected the bail application.
