UDHAMPUR, Dec 11: One person died and four others were injured when a Swift car, in which they were traveling, collided with a truck on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, this evening.
The Swift car was on way from Jammu to Srinagar when it collided with an opposite coming truck near Delhi Public School, Rathian. The collision led to on the spot death of one passenger and injuries to four others.
Locals and police shifted the victims to District Hospital Udhampur where doctor declared one Ashish Sehgal, son of Ved Parkash, resident of Chandigarh, as brought dead. Identity of the injured persons was established as Arish Dughal (26) son of Basudev Dughal of Chandigarh, Ashwani (26) son of Bakshi Ram of Krishna Nagar, Jani Pura Jammu, Sunil (30) son of Jay Krishan of Chamba and Rmashber (32) son of Shach Dev of Bihar.
