UDHAMPUR, Dec 7: Continuing its drive against liquor in holy town Katra, Police has seized 40 pouches of liquor and arrested a bootlegger.
A Police team, headed by SHO Katra Kuldeep Krishan, under the supervision of SDPO Dr Ashok Sharma, conducted a special frisking at Counter number 2 Katra. During the checking, one person namely Shakeel Ahmed of Jinakha Dansaal was intercepted. From his vehicle, Winger, bearing registration No.JK02AW/0516, 40 Poly Pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K Excise liquor, were recovered.
The accused person has been arrested and the vehicle was seized.
In this connection, a case FIR U/S 48-A Act, 188/RPC has been registered at Police Station Katra.
