AGS Anantnag celebrates 11th Annual Day

Srinagar, Dec 5: Army Goodwill School (AGS) Anantnag, which is an epitome of high quality education in Valley, celebrated its 11th Annual Day function today at Anantnag.
A defence spokesman said the function was attended by parents, teachers’ staff, civilian staff and Army officials. “Series of events were organised by the students to mark the day including dance, speech performances, singing and other cultural events,” he said.
The chief guest of the function, Colonel Rajmeet Singh, announced the upgradation of the school from 8th Class to 9th Class in academic session 2016. He also appreciated the students and the teachers for their concerted hard work and dedication which led to excellent result in the Academic Session 2013 – 2014.
“He also awarded students who had done exceptionally well in academics and sports arenas and urge the students to be a better and responsible citizens. It is pertinent to note that Army Goodwill schools are dedicated to the service of people to provide high standard of education and is well equipped with standards of art educational and sports facilities,” the defence spokesman added.
