JAMMU, Nov 28: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has demanded that all basic facilities be provided to the PM package employees in Kashmir Valley.
Expressing concern over the plight of these employees, KPC chief, Kundan Kashmiri said that all the new 3000 employees to be appointed under the package be adjusted in Central government departments outside the Valley till a separate place is carved out in Valley for the settlement of the community.
Kashmiri while reiterating the separate Kashyap State demand with free flow of Indian Constitution for the settlement of Pandits in Valley said it is the only solution to the problem.
He while expressing concern over the drama of intolerance created by some vested interests said this is slated to harm the national interests and tarnish India’s image abroad.
Kashmiri said if these so called writers and intellectuals were so concerned for intolerance in the country why did not they return awards when members of Sikh community were massacred in 1984 anti Sikh riots, when selected killing of minority Hindus was made in Kashmir and their houses razed to ground forcing the entire community to flee from Valley on gun point.
He said why did not these intellectuals react when massacres of Hindus took place in hilly belt of Jammu in nineties or when innocent school children were killed in blasts in Jammu during that period?
