2 killed, 5 injured in road mishaps

Srinagar, Nov 18: Two persons were killed while five others were injured in different road accidents across Valley.
A police spokesman said a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK05D-6686 hit injured a boy namely Shahid Ahmad Lone at Vodhpora in Handwara area of Kupwara district. “The injured was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries,” the spokesman said, adding a case has been registered in this regard.
The spokesman said a motorcycle bearing registration number JK22-9023 met with an accident near DIET in Shopian district, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist identified as Mohammad Asif Ganaie. “The injured was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The police spokesman said an EON car collided with a Maruti 800 bearing registration number JK05A-7317 at Hathlangoo Crossing in Sopore area of Baramulla district, resulting in injuries to two persons namely Parvaiz Ahmad Dar and Muhhammad Shafi Dar. “Both the injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a fruit loaded truck bearing registration number UP15BT-2500 on way from Pahalgam to Bijbehara turned turtle at Sallar in Pahalgam area of Anantnag district, resulting in injuries to 3 persons including its driver. “All the injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he added.
