JAMMU, Nov 7: NHPC Regional Office, Jammu celebrated its 41st Raising Day today with great pomp and show at its Regional office here.
The function was presided over by the Executive Director Om Parkash who was the chief guest on the occasion. The senior officers also attended the function.
In his address Om Parkash congratulated the employees and briefed them about the achievements of NHPC Limited during the last 40 years.
He also spoke about the status of various projects across the State and hoped that 330 MW Kishanganga Project in Bandipora Kashmir during the year 2016.
Om Parkash further said that by developing hydro projects in J&K State, people of the State are getting benefit of 12 percent free power besides, generating employment for unemployed youth. He also read the message of Chairman and Managing Director which said that the company has completed 40 glorious years today. All the employees deserve appreciation for having contributed to the success and growth of the company. In the changing business scenario and tougher performance expectations from all the stakeholders of NHPC, “we need to renew our pledge today for endeavoring to raise the bar in all areas of our functioning our company to heights.
On the occasion a colorful cultural programme was organized which was appreciated by one and all.
