RAJOURI, Nov 5: A forest team assisted by Forest Protection Force (FPF) men during joint operation seized a JCB and removed encroachment from nearly 66 kanals of forest land.
Official sources said that a team of Forest officials led by Range Officer Rajouri, Khan Baz along with Insp FPF Jameel organised an operation in Compartment No. 109/R and removed two structures built by the land grabbers. The area had been grabbed by Babu Hussain, son of Mohd Hussain ( 5 kanal), Barkat Hussain, son of Mohd Hussain ( 4 kanal), Gulzar Hussain, son of Ghulam Hussain (5 kanal), Mohd Aslam , son of Noor Hussain ( 6 kanal), Mohd Saliq, Suba, Abdul Gafoor, Abdul Rashid, Mohd Sadiq, Abdul Wahid and Alia.
Entire area was cleared and process of fencing initiated. The Forest team also seized JCB when some people were trying to grab Forest land and leveling it by using machine in Compartment No. 1, Loorkote. The confiscation proceedings were initiated by DFO Rajouri, Anup Kumar Soni under the supervision of CF, Jammu West Circle, Sameer Bharti.
