Army organizes ‘Sair-e-Watan’ for Nari Niketan girls

MENDHAR, Oct 28: “Sair-e-Watan”, a national integration tour for 24 girl children of Nari Niketan, Mendhar along with one staff member was flagged off by Rashtriya Rifle Sector Commander at Mendhar.
The tour has been organized by Army as part of Operation Sadbhavana. The week-long tour will not only give the girls an exposure to various important places but also inculcate in them the feeling of national integration and religious harmony.
To facilitate close interaction, the children are scheduled to visit Khalsa College, Guru Nanak Dev University, Alpha One Mall, Jallian Wala Bagh, Golden Temple and Wagah Border in Amritsar and Pushpa Gujral Science City in Jalandhar.
They will also visit Rock Garden, Sukhna Lake, Thunder Zone, Amusement Park and Elante Mall at Chandigarh. Visit to Fish Aquarium and Bahu Fort at Jammu is also part of the programme.
