SRINAGAR, Oct 13: Police today arrested an Imam for sodomizing a minor inside a mosque in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police spokesman said here that a lady, whose name has been withheld, reported to police station Pulwama that her 8 year old son had gone to neighborhood Masjid for learning Qur’an.
“The boy returned home and narrated that a person Feroz Malik met him there and forcibly took him in the Hamam of the Masjid (mosque) where he subjected him to unnatural sex,” the woman was quoted as having said by the police spokesman. The spokesman said that the victim confirmed the report.
He said the accused has been arrested and case under FIR number under section 321/15 has been registered against him.
