SAMBA, Oct 13: In a periodic meeting of workers of All J&K Low Paid Government Employees Federation, their demands were discussed.
The meeting held under the leadership of Abdul Majid Khan, president, LPGEF highlighted the demand of release of 6% DA installment in cash from July 2015, immediate revision of minimum daily wage to Rs 350, remuneration of Village Guards at par with minimum daily wager, enhancement of Medical allowance to at least Rs 1000, extension of leave encashment benefits to teachers, removal of pay anomalies of Head/Senior/Junior Assistants and regularization of daily wage workers.
The president made a strong plea to the Government to provide adequate funds and matching grants to the DDOs of all the departments for payment of wages to daily wage workers, ReT Teachers and employees appointed under New Pension Scheme (NPS).
