Srinagar, Oct 1: A class 8th student who was on a picnic with his school drowned in a canal in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district today.
A police official said Idrees Hussain of Solina area of city here was on a picnic with his school, Tiny Harts, when he drowned in power canal near Environmental Park at Kijipora area of the district.
He said the body of the teenage youth was fished out by police from the canal and handed over to his family after legal formalities.
