SRINAGAR, Sept 3: Police today said they have arrested an extortionist and recovered a toy pistol from his possession in north Kashmir’s Sopore town of Baramulla district.
A police spokesman said a person identified as Hilal Ahmad Potoo was extorting money from people by using a plastic toy pistol. ”A case under FIR number 186/15 under Section 382 RPC was registered against him and investigation has been taken up,” he said.
Besides, the spokesman said a Samsung mobile phone and one fake currency note of 1000 rupees denomination and rupees 850 were also recovered from the extortionist.
