JAMMU, Sept 2: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a meeting to review the ongoing programmes at different levels and discuss the further course of action for the successful conduct of future programmes as well as the organizational elections in the State.
The meeting was chaired by BJP State General Secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul, State Vice-President Col Uttam Singh and MP Shamsher Singh Manhas. Senior leaders, State office bearers, elected representatives, district presidents and district prabharis attended the meet.
Speaking on the occasion, Col Uttam Singh stressed on the need to accelerate the activities with extra efforts in order to get the desired results out of the party programmes adding that each one of us should also devote time in taking the welfare schemes to the masses in our respective areas.
Ashok Kaul said that the party activists are participating in training workshop, prashikshan varg, aajeevan sehyog nidhi and mass contact programme with enthusiasm. After the formation of Government, BJP activists are regularly working to highlight the problems of the people, whileas elected representatives including Ministers are taking steps to meet the long pending demands of the people.
Shamsher Singh Manhas spoke on strengthening the organizational structure of the party adding that the BJP has its well knit setup at all levels. He said that as a part of healthy inner democracy, the party’s organizational elections are due and the process has been initiated with the appointments of National and State Election Incharge, to be followed by nomination of election Incharge and district and Mandal levels. He also spoke on the procedure to be followed for the smooth conduct of organizational elections.
Among others present were Sat Sharma, Rajesh Gupta and Ajay Nanda, MLAs, Vibodh Gupta and Charanjit Singh Khalsa, MLCs, Sakina Bano, Som Raj Khajuria, Usha Choudhary, Munish Sharma, Dr Narinder Singh, Bansi Lal Bharti, etc.
