JAMMU, Aug 29: Congress, which once claimed to be the largest political party in India, stands nowhere now after BJP achieved the distinction of being not only country’s but world’s largest political party.
This was stated by  BJP State chief spokesperson Sunil Sethi, while addressing a press conference along with State spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan at Party Headquarters here today.
He said not only in rest of the country but in J & K also, it is a divided house and the same became clear during the visit of its National vice-president Rahul Gandhi to the State.
Sunil Sethi noted that the visit of Rahul Gandhi has now totally exposed the infighting going on within the State unit of Congress, where different groups within party have been seen conspiring and planning against each other to grab attention of media and their National vice-president.
He said that Congress in J&K is ridiculing each other publicly and has least concern for the people of the State and problems being faced by them.
Sethi said that Congress has not been in position even to hold a single substantial rally for Rahul Gandhi, which again exposes the weakness and inherent contradictions in the party .
He further stressed that visit of Congress National Vice President has proved to be disappointing with no enthusiasm from public and by making irrelevant statements, Rahul Gandhi has compounded problems for Congress. At a time, when State is facing unprovoked firing on borders on  a large canvass, the statements made purely for political reasons have been rejected by public . The speed with which Congress is going deep into political irrelevance, the coming days will see the Congress becoming extinct in the State,  Sethi added.
