Insurance employees to observe strike on Sept 2

JAMMU, Aug 27: Insurance employees under the banner of All India Insurance Employees’ Association will observe one day strike on September 2 as part of general strike by all Central Trade Unions and Federations against anti-employees and anti-working class policies of the NDA Government.
In preparation to the said strike, massive demonstrations during lunch recess were held outside all the offices of LIC in J&K. At Jammu, the demonstration was led by Pawan Gupta, divisional secretary, NZIEA Srinagar Division and at Srinagar by AM Tantray, president of the association.
Speaking on the occasion at DO Cell Jammu, Romesh Chand, joint secretary, NZIEA Srinagar Division, lambasted the NDA Government for its economic policies which have made the life of a common man miserable. These policies are benefiting the corporate sector and big industrialists, and are harming the employees and the working class.
It was appealed to all the members to observe complete strike on September 2.
