JAMMU, Aug 27: Anubha Suryavanshi bagged gold in Youth (Girls) pistol event of the 6th Jammu District Shooting Championship, organized by Jammu District Rifle at Shooting Range of Delhi Public School, here today.
Participants of different age groups both Boys & Girls from various schools of District Jammu took part in the Championship.
The silver and bronze medals in Youth (Girls) pistol went to Kavya Kochar and Riga respectively.
In Youth (Boys) Rifle, Sarfarosh bagged the gold medal, while in Open (Men) Rifle, Anil Sharma, Aman Singh and Rajinder bagged gold, silver and bronze medals respectively and in Open (Women) Rifle, Deepika Singh, Tanvi and Jyothsna claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
Youth (Boys) pistol: Abhay Gupta (gold); Utkarsh Mathur (silver); Asad Khan (bronze) and Kalhan Bhat (bronze).
Junior (Men) Pistol: Nmandeep Singh (gold), Sangram Singh (silver) and Amandeep Raina (bronze).
Open (Men) pistol: Manish Kumar (gold); Vibhas Kumar (silver) and Romijeet Singh (bronze) and in Open (Women) pistol; Greety Mahajan (gold).
The selected shooters will participate in the forthcoming J&K State Shooting Championship to be held at J&K Police Shooting Range Gulshan Ground Jammu and Delhi Public School Jammu which from tomorrow.
The prizes among the winners were distributed by Rajiv Pandey, SSP Jammu and Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, Sr. Vice President JKRA in presence of Sanam Sony, President Jammu District Rifle Association, Dharmvir Singh Jamwal, General Secretary Jammu District Rifle Association and Sharat Chander Singh, Tresearur Jammu Kashmir Rifle Association.
The matches were conducted by Rajesh Virdhy (Coach) J&K and Tarun Dev Singh.
