BKS seeks facilities for border people

JAMMU, Aug 27: Bharatiya Kissan Sangh, J&K unit, held a meeting here today, in which they voiced concern over the condition of border dwellers and strongly denounced statement of AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi for construction of bunkers for the people living in the border areas.
“The Congress was in power at the Centre for past 10 years and in Jammu and Kashmir for last 12 years. They did nothing for the border people except for giving false assurances to them,” the Sangh said after a meeting and called upon the Government to adhere to the demand for construction of bunkers, allotments of five marla plots to the border dwellers, Rs 10 lakh to the kin of those killed in border firing and Rs 5 lakh to the injured in addition to the job to one family member of the firing victims.
The Kissan Sangh demanded that ever hospital in the border areas should have the ambulance services so that the people injured in Pakistan firing are shifted immediately to Jammu.
The meeting presided over by Sangh’s State unit president Subash Chander Dasgotra was attended among others by Mohan Lal Sharma, Gagan Choudhary, Ranbir Singh, Devinder Sharma and Hardayal Singh.
