JAMMU, Aug 25: The corridors of Super Specialty Hospital (SSH) became tense this morning when two doctors entered into a dispute for running OPD, leaving the patients in lurch.
As per sources, the Gastroenterology Department was restored recently by MK Bhandari, Special Secretary in SSH and directions were also issued to HoD Gastro Dr Shoket Choudhary to carry out OPD so as to provide succor to the patients.
Dr Choudhary, who was running his OPD in the SSH today was intercepted by Dr Haroon Salaria of Neuro Surgery for running OPD in the room, where Neuro patients were being examined during the period the Gastro OPD was closed.
The situation turned worse, when both the doctors entered into verbal duel.
Eyewitnesses said that during the clash some attendants also attacked each other.
However, the matter was reported to Principal GMC and Medical Superintendent SSH, but no action was taken, due to which the patients also held protest.
Later, a complaint was lodged with Bakshi Nagar police station by the HoD Gastro Dr Shoket Choudhary.
