SRINAGAR , June 25 : Former Minister and Member AICC, Abdul Gani Vakil today criticized the Central Government for discriminating Kashmir Division in respect of allocation of funds under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
He said that allocation under CRF during the current fiscal is the latest glaring example of discrimination. Mr. Vakil said that Union Government has completely surrendered its writ before RSS and under its strict instructions has deliberately deprived J&K Government of genuine and rightful funding. RSS wants to put J&K into economic crisis and jolt its stability so that they can change the mindset of populace here through a compulsive and dictatorial method, he said in a press statement.
Former Minister said that during the UPA tenure all the States of Union of India were treated at par and due to this reason J&K and Uttrakhand were given same treatment post natural calamities they faced in 2005 and 2012 respectively. He said during the current BJP regime J&K is being discriminated completely on all fronts. He said that this discrimination can be substantiated from the fact that post 2014 devastating floods J&K received meager and pea nut funding for rehabilitation and reconstruction purposes.
Former Minister said that BJP led Union Government is treating J&K as an alien State and is intentionally resorting to hidden promotion of regional imbalance; the consequences of which will be dire in near future as the existence and integrity of the J&K will be at stake.
