JAMMU, June 24: An ASI of Indian Reserve Police (IRP) was injured today in a road mishap here near Bus Stand.
According to a police spokesperson, An ASI of 19 Battalion IRP, Channi, along with a constable was going on a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AU-2380 when a Bus bearing registration number JK12-3200 hit their two-wheeler, this morning.
In the mishap, pillion rider, ASI Mushtaq Ahmed of 19th Battalion IRP received serious injuries and was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where his condition was stated to be critical when the last reports poured in.
A case in this regard has been registered at police station Bus Stand and both the vehicles involved in the accident seized. However, the driver of the bus managed to flee from the spot.
