God has endowed Jammu region with numerous scenic spots. The spots are bewitching and can attract thousands of tourists but these spots have not been developed by creating necessary infrastructure for tourists there.
These places are located at Poonch, Udhampur, Reasi, Rajouri, Samba, Kathua, Doda and Ramban etc.
The Tourism Deptt need to frame a comprehensive policy for exploiting tourism potential of these places. These places have great scope for providing employment opportunities to youth of these areas.
Recently, the Chief Minister of the State, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed also laid stress for exploiting the tourism potential of the State. So there should be no delay in creating necessary infrastructure in the province. The stake holders must pursue the matter vigorously.
